The best moments...

One of my favorite moments of the day is late at night when I finally lay Olive in her bed then quietly sneak into Lucy's room to turn off the light (that she has to have on to fall asleep) and finish up by opening up Izzy's door to let Mikka out and make sure that she actually made it into her bed. It's not my favorite because my kids are finally asleep and done for the day (although that is wonderful too) it's my favorite because I get to see their sweet faces one more time before I go to sleep, to know that they are mine, that I love them, that no matter what has gone on in the day they are what I live for. There is something so beautiful and comforting about a quiet, sleeping house that holds all my best treasures :)

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the amazing father of my kids. I love you. I often times find it difficult to believe that it's possible for someone to really love me, like REALLY love me. I see the way that he loves our girls and know that that is the same love he feels for me and it blows me away. He wants so much for us, he gives us so much of himself. We love you.





Happy Father's Day to my sweet Dad, thank you for teaching my how to be so awesome and for always loving and supporting me, even when I probably didn't make it very easy to do so. Love you!

Stickin' it to Mother Nature

This weekend we had big plans for a "stay-cation" with the girls, the weather pretty much dumped on our plans. The one day it was nice we decided to hit the zoo for a few hours and it turned out to be a nightmare. Huge crowds, two tired and whiny girls and two less then patient parents. Sunday night we made plans to spend the day at Willard Bay if the weather was nice, we were not hopeful. Monday morning came and the skies were gray but Sean was determined that we would have a fun day outside as a family. We packed everything up and headed out, the thermometer in the car kept showing lower and lower numbers but we forged ahead! I'm glad to report that after a little bit of a chilly morning and lunch eaten in sweaters the rest of the day was spent on the beach, in swimsuits, splashing around, building sandcastles, and having an all around awesome day. I'm so glad Sean was so determined to get out because we would have missed out on a great day. We drove home feeling super accomplished that we took all three girls out and it turned out so great, maybe we can handle this having three kids after all.
