Found

I think at some point everyone struggles with "who" they are. People often need to trek through Europe to "find" themselves, or break-up with a significant other in order to "figure" themselves out. As I was driving the kids home from school I was reflecting on the lesson that I taught the 11-year old primary girls on Sunday on the Word of Wisdom. I was really trying to convey the importance of keeping their bodies free from anything that would harm them, I wished I could go into more depth on how I know, the wisdom that I have acquired through the years on the subject, but they are 11 and I'm not sure they need to go too far into it. I started thinking about the person I was in the past, then I started to think about the person I am today. I realized that I feel more like myself now then I ever have before. In a sense, I guess I have "found" myself. It dawned on me that I feel comfortable with who I am, and I don't think it is just the absence of teenage angst, I feel like I'm myself, if that makes sense, and I'm really happy with that person that I have found. I probably could still use a trip through Europe though :)

Not that you weren't awesome back in the Cutler's-days, but it has been wonderful to see you now. You are an amazing mom and your little family is blessed to have YOU. So happy that you are happy where you're at.

I just saw Eat, Pray, Love, and thought of it when I read your post. Maybe someday when our kids are grown and we are filthy rich, we can go on a girls trip to Europe and eat ourselves sick!
Anyway, it's good that you like yourself and your life. Motherhood is so fulfilling, huh. Who would have guessed?
I agree, your family is so blessed to have you. You are a really dedicated Mother.
